Pack books and records on end in a small carton. Valued books should be wrapped in paper or tissue first.

Stay under fifty pounds per carton and tape securely. Remember, somebody has to be able to lift it. If the carton is to heavy, the bottom can fall out and damage the contents. Don't use masking tape.

Point cup handles and pitcher spouts to the center of the carton when packing.

Pack cartons smugly:- Use un-printed news paper to fill in the empty spaces. Fill cartons to the top. When stacked, half filled cartons tend to get crushed. Wrap items that could be scratched.
